We were able to load and leave a little early on our annual Accurate 5-day Family fishing adventure. Captain Ray Lopez took us to Guadalupe Island for fantastic yellowfin tuna fishing. We had a very successful annual 5-day Accurate sponsored trip on the American Angler. Thanks to Capt. We had another successful Accurate sponsored 14-day trip on the American Angler. We spent 6.5 days fishing for big tuna and wahoo. We landed around 200 tuna and 100 good size wahoo. The largest tuna was a kite fish (133#). We had our usual 31 card tournament (just another excuse to give away prizes) as well as the crew 31 contest. I was very fortunate to meet a great group of guys (assembled by Rick Jensen of SportfishingFinancial) for a 2-day charter trip on the Liberty out of Fisherman's Landing. We primarily fished Guadalupe Island on this 6-day trip. It was a very good trip with 4 days of fishing at the island for 40# to 100# yellowfin tuna. There were some loses to the great white sharks but overall we were able to get a majority of the hooked tuna onto the boat.
