January 2016 American Angler 14-day Trip

The annual 14-day Accurate sponsored American Angler trip just keeps getting better and better every year. This year was a perfect example. All 26 of us (19 passengers and 7 crew) had a great time for 14 days. In addition to all of this fun and laughter, we fished for 6 1/2 days and caught 15 YFT over 200# and one 300# tuna.

This trip should be pretty full already for next year. A special thanks to Accurate (for supplying loaner ATDs), Calstar (775 rail rods), Izorline (spectra, mono and fluoro), Baja Fish Gear (gift cerficates & clothing), Salas Lures (PL-68s and 6X jigs), Sportsman Seafood (discount processing) and American Angler Sportfishing (Brian and his crew really know how to run a first rate operation). I will let the following photos describe the fun and success we had on the trip. I gave a daily prize out every day for the largest fish caught that day. DSCN2046 — Russ Hanano won a $100 Baja Fish Gear gift cerficate along with other logo products for his 267# YFT

DSCN2028 — Kohei Kikuchi won a Calstar 775 XXH rod for his 260# YFT

DSCN2069 — Ron Bryan won a Accurate plier, sheath and lanyard for his 280# YFT

DSCN2104 — The Champions from the “31” tournament on the way home. The yellow t-shirt is the coveted winners trophy.
